Essential Courses vs 1-on-1 Tutoring

 In GMAT test

While searching for GMAT preparation courses, you’ll stumble upon various options to choose from. For example you can follow a course with a group of people, or you can choose for the full personal attention of 1-on-1 tutoring. Different situations call for different approaches, and that’s what this blog is all about, advising you about what course to choose for your personal situation.

Essential Course GMAT preparation

For starters we offer a couple of Essential Courses. These are group sessions, which cover just about everything you need to know about the Quantitative– and Verbal section of the GMAT exam. These are the sections that will determine your eventual GMAT score, hence the term “essential.” If you have enough time before your GMAT exam and/or admission date, we highly recommend taking these courses as a foundation for your GMAT preparation. In small groups you will be taught everything there is to know about the Quant and Verbal section of the GMAT exam. Another essential course we offer is our GMAT bootcamp. This consists of three days of Quant-, and one day of Verbal training, basically all knowledge on these subjects, but squeezed into a tight four-day program. The GMAT bootcamp is a great way to recap all there is to know about the GMAT exam.

1-on-1 GMAT preparation

There are also reasons to choose a 1-on-1 GMAT preparation course. For starters, it’s a perfect addition to our essential courses. If you happen to find specific difficulties during the essential course(s), a 1-on-1 course is the way to go. During a 1-on-1 session you won’t just be able to address very specific questions, but also your progress can be monitored very closely. Another reason to choose a 1-on-1 course is having either very little time before the GMAT exam, or needing to get a really high GMAT score. During these sessions you can get a tailor-made study program and tackle specific difficult GMAT subjects. Also, the location, times and amount of hours are flexible. But again, we recommend taking 1-on-1 courses in addition to our essential courses.
