Read more about the school, its CEMS double degree and the required GMAT scores below.

The London School of Economics and Political Science

London is seen as an exciting, vibrant and colorful city with more than 400,000 university students living in it. The London School of Economics and Political Science was founded in 1895 as a specialist social science university. Its motto stands for: ‘to know the causes of things’ to support their founding purpose: "for the betterment of society". The school ranked third in the world in the QS subject rankings 2022 and as the top university in London in the Complete University Guide 2023. In 2021, LSE became the first Carbon Neutral verified university in the UK and their library is one of the largest social science libraries in Europe. And just to show how internationally oriented LSE is: the school has 219,000 alumni in 212 countries and 37 world leaders have studied or taught at LSE.

The CEMS Master's in International Management

In the United Kingdoms, the CEMS Master in International Management is offered exclusively at the London School of Economics and Political Science as part of its Global Master's in Management degree. The CEMS Master in International Management is a prestigious 2-years joint degree programme and it is consistently ranked in the top 10 of The Economist's Master in Management Ranking in each year it is published. At the end of your studies, you will be awarded both the LSE Global Master's in Management degree, and the CEMS Master’s in International Management degree, giving you a double degree qualification.

GMAT Requirements

When applying for the LSE Global Master’s in Management degree, a GMAT is required if you do not have a UK undergraduate or graduate degree. The average GMAT score of students on the programme is quite high, namely 680. It is important to note that if you have a GMAT score below 600, you are very unlikely to be offered a place on the programme. Keep in mind that their admission committee requires a GMAT which contains all elements of the test. If your GMAT score does not include all elements, they won't accept it.

You are exempted from a GMAT if:

  • You are currently studying on a UK undergraduate degree taught entirely in the UK.
  • You have been awarded a UK undergraduate degree taught entirely in the UK.
  • You are currently studying on a UK Master's degree taught entirely in the UK.
